Shopify for the hospitality sector
Slerp provides restaurants with a customisable eCommerce platform, a tablet app for managing orders, and a network of third-party couriers to take care of delivery. Allowing the F&B industry to share infrastructure without sacrificing brand.
Some preexisting issues with app stability and Bluetooth printer connectivity were impacting Slerp's otherwise seamless service. They needed a team of experts to solve the tech woes standing in the way of a first-class CX.

To address the app’s ongoing stability issues, we rebuilt it using React Native and included a load of automated tests to preserve its integrity with each new release.
We also switched out the printer’s Bluetooth library for a generic Bluetooth library, allowing the dev team to squash bugs themselves rather than relying on a third party. And we implemented a series of fallbacks to mitigate errors such as misplaced orders if a printer still didn’t connect.
The kicker? By choosing to rebuild with React Native, we also delivered an iOS app for next to no extra cost.

Since improving the app’s stability and Bluetooth connectivity, we’ve been working with Slerp on a roadmap, building new features to optimise and scale their offering.
We took the tablet designs and converted them into mobile UX, introducing a portrait mode that has seen Slerp onboarding pop-ups and food trucks. A new in-app customer support function has drastically improved the speed and efficiency of issue resolution.
